SAMBAKI dance classes are for people who love to dance, unwind and have fun. These dynamic dance styles are a great way to maintain your health and fitness while learning exotic moves.
SAMBA is smooth and very sensual.
The foot work starts slow and get's really fast like in the Carnaval of Rio de Janeiro! In this class you learn how to move your hips, arms, feet and keep the rhythm, all at the same time. There is an infinite number of variations that you can add to your samba style and after learn the basic of them, you will be able to create your own variation set!
*SAMBA is the most recognized Brazilian art in the world. It was born from a mixture of cultural elements from Africa, Portugal and Brazilian indigenous.
AXÉ - SAMBA FITNESS is fun and energetic.
Has got some elements from the Afro dance mixed with a "Bahia" style of Samba. This class is a great work out! The captivating Brazilian drum beat and songs, make your body groove easily and with a different choreography in each class, soon you will be able to dance like a Brazilian!
*AXÉ was originated in Bahia, north of Brazil, around the 50's. The word is a greeting expression used in the Afro Brazilian religions and means positive energy.
SAMBAKI
SAMBAKI class is both styles SAMBA and AXÉ together in one class. This class is a mixture of Brazilian rhythms, including Afoxe/Ijexa and Samba Reggae from North of Brazil Bahia, together with the Samba from Rio de Janeiro.
AFRO JAZZ is intense and powerful.
This class is based in the tribal African movements, and has a modern way of jumps and floor work. It's awesome for those who are looking for a challenge and push themselves to their limits! This strong class gives you so much confidence that it makes you realize you can really do any thing!
*The AFRICANS were taken to Brazil as slaves by the Portuguese around 1500. The Afro dance in Brazil has a huge influence in many Brazilian traditional dances.
At the end of these classes, it's hard to notice that you have just done a very intense exercise, and you didn't notice just because you were having so much fun!
